Individuals can also be part of teams and there were teams from all of the major clubs in South Africa that competed in different weight categories. This is an event which generates great enthusiasm and has been supported by families over multiple years. The 2025 ride will take place over the same course as this year, however, there is consideration being given to changing the course of the ride in an attempt to try and reduce the costs - which clearly was a factor why there were fewer participants this year. A major new sponsor for this event is the Emirates International Endurance Village have purchased one of the farms over which this course takes place. They have committed to supporting this ride in the future and made cash prizes available to the various categories of participants in the ride.
