Vetnews | March 2023 27 Vetbooks for Africa – Feedback on the December trip to Africa The Vetbooks team would like to thank each of our loyal and valuable sponsors. No vehicle would have left the OP grounds without you. The December trip was a big success. The team managed to achieve the goal of reaching twomore countries thatVetbooks hadnever visitedbefore and thus reached out to more Universities, schools and more people. This Vetbooks committee was the first to alsomanaged tomake two trips. This Vetbooks trip was life-changing for the Vetbooks team and an eye- opener to be grateful for everything we accept each day as a given. As a team, we have experienced the power of giving and recognise now that giving is muchmore rewarding than receiving. The tears, laughter, hugs and smiles we have experienced first-hand are some things that could not be described in words, but definitely like oil on fire in our hearts just to do more to help and the realisation that you can make a difference in your everyday life. The grateful tears in the little children's eyes when they received an eraser were heartbreaking and, at the same time, amazing to put a smile on their faces. In retrospect, we realise now more than ever how privileged we, as the committeewere that each of you trusted us to usewhatever you have given us just to be the bishops in the bigger chest game tomake a difference. This Vetbooks for Africamission can never be a reality without loyal support. We are truly thankful for our sponsors who have taken our hands andmade every dreamofVetbooks for Africa come true.Wewill never be able to thank you enough. We hope you will be part of the Vetbooks for Africa mission in the future so that this initiative can keep expanding. v For more information, please follow the link
