Vetnuus | June 2023 8 Leading Article In conclusion, this study showed OVAH had improved its survival rates for treating horses with colic, which compares well internationally. Postoperative complication rates also generally compared well. The findings of higher heart rates and PCV with reduced survival may assist in the future to assist veterinarians and owners in making informed decisions regarding the treatment of horses with colic. v References BJØRN, H.
