You have likely heard the expression: “once I made the decision – things got easier!” Why is that? Simply because fear stifles creativity and clouds the mind. Once the fear is gone, the mind is much clearer on the objective and is willing to entertain alternative ways of succeeding. Let me help you further motivate yourself: decide whether you are doing it to pursue pleasure or avoid pain. Is it the carrot that moves the donkey forward or the stick? Successful people are influenced by the desire for pleasing results. Failures are influenced by the desire for pleasing methods. In other words, sometimes the method required to succeed may not be very attractive or easy, but the results may be very pleasing. The biggest enemy of an extraordinary life is a great life. If you are already comfortable in your current circumstance, it would seem very difficult to justify getting uncomfortable to achieve more. Albert EN Gray said, “it is easier to adjust ourselves to the hardships of a poor living, than to adjust ourselves to the hardships of making a better one” . The secret of success lies in having a highly desired purpose. That is why the ultimate goal of my life coaching with my clients is to identify each individual’s purpose. When you have a sure purpose, you will be motivated to overcome fears and all other varieties of pain. You will move beyond the barrier of hesitation and become active!!!
