Vetnews | April 2022 17 In 2015 communication between the South African Veterinary Association (SAVA) and the Veterinary Association of Namibia (VAN) got underway to pave the road for cooperation cross-border. A long stream of communication followed, and in 2022 an affiliation was established with the following benefits for members of both Associations: • Reciprocal attendance of the main congress at membership rates (i.e. members of VAN can attend SAVA Congresses at SAVA membership rates and vice versa). • Advertising of the VAN Congress in VetNews at no cost (similar to congresses arranged by Groups of the SAVA, a single full- page advertisement). • Members of VAN can subscribe to VetNews and access the digital version on the SAVA website. • As agreed, accreditation of the CPD articles published in VetNews will be arrangedwith the NamibianVeterinary Council. Groups have been requested to inform vice-versa when foreign speakers are invited to present talks. SAVETCON will liaise in this regard on events they manage VETNEWS SUBSCRIBERS FOR MEMBERS OF VETERINARY ASSOCIATION OF NAMIBIA Veterinarians from Namibia wanting to subscribe to VetNews must be members of the Veterinary Association of Namibia (proof of membership must be provided) VetNews subscribers will receive the following benefits: • Access to electronic access to the VetNews magazine • Access to the SAVA membership section of the website • Access to CPD questions on SAVA website (VetEdOnline) • Subscribers will be able to log CPD points on the VetEdOnline website Terms and conditions: • The VetNews subscribers are not members of the SAVA and will not have any voting rights. • If subscribers fail to pay their subscription fee within one month after the due date, a reminder will be sent. Non-payment after two reminders will result in the subscription being terminated. The subscriber’s postal address will be removed from the VetNews mailing list. • VetNews subscription will be valid for one year and must be terminated in writing at least two months before the termination date. • It remains the responsibility of the subscribers to notify the SAVA of any change in e-mail and/or postal address. • The membership fee for 2022 is R510.00 per annum.
