Our colleagues who screened the horses and monitored their health deserves acknowledgement for having prevented any serious problems and ensuring that horses that did complete did so in optimum condition. There were quite a few responsible competitors who withdrew their horses voluntarily at different stages during the rides. All that attended the ride were very complimentary about this event, the facilities and all arrangements concerning this ride. Thanks were particularly expressed to theNorthern Cape organizing committee, who worked endlessly - ensuring that everything ran smoothly.
